SAPOA Role

SAPOA will continue to encourage the concept of private property ownership and development, and the rewards to be gained by the formerly disadvantaged members of the South African community.

Our aim is to:

  • Issue clear standpoints on matters relevant to the property industry where the interests of its members and the economy as a whole are threatened;

  • Encourage formerly disadvantaged members of the community to become involved as owners, developers, employees and managers in the property industry;

  • Enable wider participation in the industry and greater involvement in the affairs of the association by all players through education programmes;

  • Provide a source of information useful not only to our members but also to government at various levels and the industry as a whole, through a significant involvement in the collection and dissemination of property data and statistics;

  • Further expand contacts with government at all levels to ensure our continued good relations and recognition as the authoritative voice of the commercial and industrial property industry.

SAPOA's aims and objectives include:

  • Fostering key relationships whilst maintaining government acceptability;

  • Maintaining a non-political bias whilst participating in governmental legislative structures;
